St Jerome's Laneway Festival had its Brisbane debut this year and I think it was a great success.  It was held in the valley on March 3rd. For all you Brisbanites, they closed off Winn St and packed it full of people.  We caught the train in however the valley has so many things to look at that we got sidetracked and ended up sprinting down the street to get there in time to see the Temper Trap (who were awesome!).  There weren't many people there that early (1pm) and so we were able to literally run right up to the stage. well well, I'm actually not much of a journal writer (you should have realised that by now) but as I sit here, my ears pounding with Muse's Starlight I feel compelled to write about my life of late.  I have been working a lot and in my free time trying to catch up with my friends (before they disown me)  However I did have last weekend off and I was lucky enough to have a ticket to the :horns: Big Day Out.  Now this is getting hard... words can't really describe it.  It was my first time but it definitely won't be the last.  I had THE best day :#!: I saw: Operator Please - A band of high school kids from the Gold Coast I bought their ep a

Ray of Sunshine

Went to see a movie this afternoon - Little Miss Sunshine. I was so impressed that I felt compelled to share it with you all.  I find many films these days are based around the same kind of stories - there's the classic underdog who wins in the end story, the hot girl ends up with the nerdy guy (or vice versa) etc etc but this film is different.  These kinds of movies are ok, I'll go and see them and probably enjoy them at the time - but I won't remember them.  This one I will remember for a long time - and not just because I'm going to buy the dvd when it's released!  The characters are refreshinly unique and while the roadtrip idea is not n
